What counts as an event?
An event is any input signal that Modem runs inference on, such as a Slack message, a Discord post, or a GitHub issue, along with updates related to those signals.
How do agent limits work?
Agent usage covers the AI-powered actions Modem takes on your behalf – whether prompted manually or via automations, like answering a question, creating a ticket, or generating a weekly report. Each plan includes a monthly allowance that scales with your tier. Agent limits work similarly to other AI products like Claude, Cursor, or ChatGPT.
What if I exceed my event or agent limits?
On any plan, you can choose to additionally pay-as-you-go by setting a monthly budget to avoid interruption. You will be notified when you are approaching both a) included limits and b) budget limits.
What models do you use?
Modem's agent uses the most intelligent models available from Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google (e.g. Claude Opus 4.6, GPT 5.2, or Gemini 3.1 Pro). For agent automations, you can explicitly choose faster models for simpler tasks. Event inference uses a mix of more affordable models.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
How do I cancel?
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period.
