The 6 best tools to pair Amplitude data with customer feedback in 2026
Teams land on Amplitude for a specific reason. Once a product has enough users that "where do people drop off" stops being one funnel and becomes twelve overlapping journeys across plans, regions, and lifecycle stages, cohort-based analysis is what makes that legible. That's a different job than event-tracking basics, and it changes what a feedback pairing needs to do here. Attaching a comment to an event is the easy part; the pairing has to hold up against a cohort someone spent an afternoon defining.
Amplitude answers part of that itself now; the five tools below cover the rest. We build Modem, which is one of them, and its Amplitude integration hasn't shipped yet, so it sits last on this list with that caveat spelled out. If your team hasn't settled on an analytics platform, our general guide is the better starting point.
The short version
| Tool | Native or third-party | What flows where | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amplitude Guides & Surveys + AI Feedback | Native | External feedback becomes Amplitude events and cohorts | Teams standardizing entirely inside Amplitude |
| Sprig | Third-party, one-way in | Survey responses push into Amplitude in real time | Behavior-triggered surveys read against journeys |
| Productboard | Third-party, one-way out | Amplitude cohorts sync out to weight roadmap notes | PM-led prioritization by behavioral segment |
| Enterpret | Third-party, one-way out | Amplitude cohorts sync into Enterpret's feedback taxonomy | Deep qualitative analysis sliced by cohort |
| Pendo | Pitches itself as the replacement | Stays inside Pendo's own platform | Teams open to consolidating onto one vendor |
| Modem | Coming soon | Not yet connected | Capture-first teams fine waiting on the Amplitude side |
1. Amplitude Guides & Surveys + AI Feedback
Unlike Mixpanel, Amplitude ships a qualitative layer of its own. Guides and Surveys launched in 2025 out of Amplitude's acquisition of Command AI, and runs behavior-triggered in-app messaging and surveys natively, keyed to what someone just did in the product.
AI Feedback goes further and reaches outside the product entirely. It pulls in support tickets, app reviews, call recordings, and social mentions, sorts them into themes with a pipeline that runs classical clustering before an LLM step, and turns each piece into a standard Amplitude event. From there it connects to the same cohorts, session replays, and experiments used for behavioral data, and a theme can spin up a Guides and Surveys audience directly.
Where it fits: teams willing to centralize both the feedback capture and the analytics inside Amplitude, and skip a second vendor for either.
2. Sprig
Sprig's Amplitude integration sends survey data into Amplitude in real time as responses come in, so they land on the right person's timeline rather than in a separate table, and teams running both can build charts and cohorts that mix survey answers with behavioral events directly.
Setup has one prerequisite the docs are explicit about: a user's User ID in Sprig must match the user_id in Amplitude, which is a data-hygiene problem more than an integration one.
Where it fits: teams already running Sprig who want survey responses inside Amplitude's own charting instead of Sprig's separate dashboard.
3. Productboard
Productboard's Amplitude integration works through Amplitude's Destinations, where you generate a token, define which Amplitude user property matches Productboard's user ID, and manually choose which cohorts to sync. Once synced, a cohort shows up as a column on the Productboard board, so notes and feature requests can be filtered by exactly the behavioral segment that raised them.
The manual cohort selection is a hard limit. Nothing streams automatically, so a new cohort in Amplitude only appears in Productboard after someone adds it.
Where it fits: product teams already running Productboard for prioritization who want it weighted by a specific Amplitude segment instead of the whole user base.
4. Enterpret
Enterpret's Amplitude integration pulls cohorts into Enterpret's feedback analysis, with a choice of one-time, scheduled, or real-time sync per its setup doc. Once a cohort is in, it becomes a lens on the feedback itself: the complaints coming from a churn-risk cohort read very differently from the same theme raised by day-one signups, and that difference is the product decision.
The documented flow runs Amplitude-into-Enterpret, and Amplitude itself stays unchanged by it.
Where it fits: teams with enough feedback volume that manual theme-reading has stopped working, who want it broken out by the same cohorts driving their Amplitude reporting.
5. Pendo
Pendo positions itself directly against Amplitude, not as a companion to it. Its own comparison page argues Amplitude shows you what happened but stops short of engaging users on what to do next, and pitches Pendo's bundle of analytics, in-app guidance, and feedback as the replacement, down to a section titled "why companies switch from Amplitude to Pendo."
That's a bigger decision than adding a feedback layer. It's swapping the analytics platform underneath everything to get the feedback layer bundled in.
Where it fits: teams open to leaving Amplitude for an all-in-one platform. Where it doesn't: anyone committed to Amplitude's cohort and journey modeling specifically, which isn't what Pendo is built around.
6. Modem
Modem's Amplitude integration is marked coming soon on our integrations page. The graph it queries right now comes from PostHog on the analytics side, alongside feedback clustered from Slack, Discord, support, and calls. Amplitude gets added to that query surface once the integration ships.
If Amplitude is the only analytics tool in your stack, that means no live cross-reference from Modem yet. The capture-and-triage side runs regardless of which analytics tool is connected, or none at all.
Where it fits: teams whose bottleneck is capture rather than the Amplitude cross-reference specifically — Slack, Discord, support, and calls all triage today regardless. Where it doesn't: a team that opened this guide only to compare Amplitude cohorts against complaints needs that live today. Enterpret and Productboard, both covered above, do it now.
How to choose
Start with the native option. Amplitude's own Guides and Surveys plus AI Feedback covers a wide slice of this without adding a vendor, since it's already inside your existing Amplitude plan. From there it's a question of direction. One-way syncs, Productboard and Enterpret, fit teams who need the segment as a filter; Sprig's real-time push fits teams who want the response itself living in Amplitude. Pendo is a different conversation, worth having only if you're willing to reconsider Amplitude itself.
So the order of operations writes itself. Turn on Guides and Surveys for one cohort you already track, let responses accumulate for a sprint, then reread this list against whatever question those responses still leave open. That unanswered question names the vendor you should add, Modem's own Amplitude side included once it ships.
